WHERE WE ARE Algarve
OLHOS D’ÁGUA

Traditionally a small fishing village, Olhos d'Água owes its name to the freshwater springs found among the rocks at the east end of the beach. During low tide it's very easy to find the spotters bubbling in the sand and feel the freshness that comes from the depths.

In recent years the town has grown a lot, but the very beautiful beach surrounded by cliffs colored in ocher tones maintains its beauty, being a pleasant seaside resort that has excellent support infrastructure and excellent restaurants by the sea.

Fresh Water Springs

The famous freshwater springs that sprout from the sand, locally known as Olhairos de Água Doce, named the village and the beach. The rock formations, very jagged, exhibit caves, arches, and small sheltered coves. Praia de Olhos d'Água is very popular, given its urban and tourist character, with a central square with terraces and a small pedestrian walkway along the seafront, lined with palm trees.
